💥 SMOKE SHOP NEWSLETTER: WEEK OF JULY 21–27, 2025 💥

Presented by Chad Wade | ChadWadeTV.com
Raw. Unfiltered. Real news smoke shop owners need to know.**

This Week’s Theme: “The Hammer Is Coming Down – Are You Next?”

The gloves are off, and state enforcement isn’t playing. Raids. Seizures. Felonies. They're going shop by shop, city by city, and if you're not ready, you're next. This week we tracked raids in Virginia, Connecticut, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, New York, and more. Not for Delta. Not for flower. For everything. Even hidden compartments. Even security system failures. Even legal products sold wrong.

This ain’t a warning. This is your red alert.

 MONDAY–TUESDAY HIGHLIGHTS (JULY 21–22)

Stratford, CT: Second Raid on Same Shop in 4 Months

Whyte Widow Smoke Shop got busted again after undercover buys showed THC edibles and flower for sale.

Chad's Take: If your store’s been raided before, and you're still playing games with what’s on the shelf? You're asking for the final nail in the coffin.

ATF Warning on Firearms & Accessories

A Kansas smoke shop tied to unlicensed firearm accessories now faces federal seizure.

Heads Up: If you carry knives, batons, tasers, or gun gear, double-check your compliance NOW.

 MIDWEEK ENFORCEMENT HEAT (JULY 23–24)

Norwalk, CT: Hidden Trap Room Found

Mechanized compartment revealed dozens of THC vapes and flower bags.

Chad's Take: If your plan is to “hide it better,” you’re playing a losing game. They will find it—and charge you harder.

 Vape Raids in Virginia

Multiple smoke/vape shops in Colonial Heights raided. Narcotics, gambling machines seized.

Real Talk: Even if you’re clean, if your neighbor isn’t, you could get swept in the same wave. Know your plaza. Vet your neighbors.

 LATE WEEK CHAOS (JULY 25–27)

Gonzales, LA: THC & Kratom Sting – 2 Shops Raided

THC vapes, kratom bags, and pre-rolls seized. Both shops run by UTC facing felony charges.

Chad Says: This is how legal products (Delta, kratom) become legal problems: mismarketing, no COAs, or poor display tactics.

 California Seizure Notices

CDTFA dropped new public seizure notices. More stores lost 100% of stock for selling unlicensed cannabis & tobacco.

Action Required: Audit everything you sell for licenses, permits, and taxes. California isn’t giving warnings anymore—they’re taking product.

 NY Smoke Shop Robbery Livestreamed

Owner watched the break-in on security cam—police arrested suspects fast.

Chad's Tip: If you don’t have cloud storage, real-time alerts, and backup power, you're exposed. Don’t be the “we watched it happen” guy.

 THIS WEEK’S COMPLIANCE TO-DO LIST

 1. Audit ALL THC, Kratom, and Tianeptine products
 2. Scan inventory for hidden imports (highlighter vapes, etc.)
 3. Confirm every product has a current COA
 4. Train staff on 21+ ID checks, daily
 5. Post “No Vaping Indoors” signage (required in many states)
 6. Check your security system for real-time remote access

LET’S TALK ABOUT IT (AND FIX IT)

  • Are you still stocking products just because they "sell fast"?
  • Are you letting distributors tell you “it’s legal” without vetting the damn COA yourself?
  • When was the last time you mystery shopped your own store?

If your plan is to “hope they don’t come,” you’re already screwed.
If your strategy is “they don’t enforce here,” you’ve got about 2 weeks until that changes.
The new normal is zero room for error. Step up. Or step out of the game.
